“I was blessed with coming to Victory Acres the day I was released from incarceration. From that first day, I've been shown nothing but love and support. Victory Acres allowed me to contribute my time to further the organization in a manner that showed trust. They trusted me, accepted me, and allowed me to regain confidence in my ability to be a contributing member of society. I have never been treated as a "convict." I've instead been treated as a person, a friend, and a family member. I've had dinner with the board members. Celebrated holidays with them. Even cried with them. They've taught me that it's ok to stumble and fall, but it's what you do to get back up. They've counseled me, mentored me, and encouraged me to nurture and pursue my dreams. Victory Acres doesn't say "you can't do that." Victory Acres asks "how can WE make this happen?" I've since enrolled in seminary school. Am preparing to take the exam to become a Certified Peer Recovery Coach. And have begun, with their help, to start my own business. I will live and die by the virtues and values that Victory Acres is built on. Victory Acres has saved my life. They are doing God's work and I am blessed and honored to be a part of it.”
